Accessibility statement

This statement covers the Bedford Town Football Club website. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

How accessible this website is

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, the international standard referenced by the Equality Act 2010. We are partially conformant: most of the site meets that standard, and the parts that do not are listed below. We have not yet commissioned an independent audit, so this is our own assessment.

Changing how this site looks

You can change text size, contrast, motion and link underlining from — the control in the bottom-left corner of every page. Your choices are stored on this device and stay set as you move around the site.

Your device and browser settings come first: if you have already asked your device for reduced motion or higher contrast, this site follows that without you doing anything. Browser zoom and your browser’s own text-size setting also work throughout, and combine with the settings above.

Known limitations

  • Some images inside older news articles do not yet carry a text description. Our content tools did not capture one at the time of publishing; we are adding that and working back through the archive.
  • Content we embed from other services — video players, ticketing partners and social media posts — is built by those providers and may not meet the same standard.
  • Some documents published as PDFs, including matchday programmes, are not tagged for screen readers.

Tell us about a problem

If you cannot do something on this site, or you find a barrier we haven’t listed, please tell us — it is the fastest way for it to get fixed. Include the page address and what you were trying to do.

Contact Bedford Town Football Club.

If you need something in another format

If you need information from this site in a different format — large print, plain text or read aloud — contact us using the details above and we will do what we reasonably can to provide it.

Display preferences

These change how this website looks for you on this device. Your device and browser settings are used first — anything you set here overrides them.

Text size

Your browser’s own zoom and text-size settings still work, and stack with this.

Contrast

Not one switch: more contrast helps some readers, less helps others.

Following your device: default contrast.

Page colour

Black text on a white page is the harshest combination there is. A tint takes the glare off without making the text harder to read.

Colour vision

Pulls apart colours that are easily confused. Pick the one matching the colours you find hard to tell apart — the preview below changes with it.

This changes how colours look — it can’t rescue anything we’ve shown by colour alone. If you find something you can’t tell apart, please report it and we’ll fix the page.
