Bedford Town kick off their FA Cup campaign for the 2026/27 season on Saturday afternoon as they take on King’s Lynn Town at the Eyrie.

It is one of only four ties in the 2nd Qualifying Round that pits two sides from the National League North against one another, and both have enjoyed a decent start to their league season.

Bedford are in 8th place having won five and lost four of their opening nine games, while King’s Lynn are in 12th having won four, drawn one, and lost four.

The Eagles did the double over the Linnets last year in the league, defeating them 1-0 in Norfolk in April, and winning 4-2 last time the sides met at Meadow Lane.

Bedford Town have a proud history in the FA Cup, forcing Arsenal to a Third Round Replay after a 2-2 draw at Highbury in 1955/56, then going one better and reaching the Fourth Round in 1963/64 after defeating Newcastle at St. James’ Park. They reached the same stage again two years later.

In recent history, Bedford drew with Peterborough United in the First Round in front of the Match of the Day cameras in 2001/02, and reached the Second Round of the FA Trophy in 2018/19.

Buy your tickets HERE to get them cheaper than on the gate and follow what could be another memorable cup run for the Eagles.

Page colour

Black text on a white page is the harshest combination there is. A tint takes the glare off without making the text harder to read.
