Hednesford come to the Eyrie for the first time since the ill-fated 2022/23 season, when both clubs were relegated from the Southern League Premier Central.

That season, our fixtures against each other resulted in a win each.

We have just one player who was involved in the last game we played against, in Junior Gyamfi.

Hednesford rejoined the Enterprise National League North for the first time since 2016, after beating Warrington Rylands in the Northern Premier League playoffs last season.

The Pitmen had a slow start to the season, but have risen to sixth position, and currently lie top of the form guide, having recently beaten Hereford, the resurgent Radcliffe, and on Saturday, claimed victory over Spalding.

The club, if not full time, are heading quickly towards that state in football.

Bedford lie three places below Hednesford, and are two points behind.

The win over Scarborough on Saturday halted a three match run of no wins, and kept the side in the top half of the table.

Junior may be fit enough to be included in the squad, but Eno Nto is now subject to a 21 day exclusion from football due to receiving concussion when he was poleaxed into the hoardings against Cray.

All supporters are urged to buy tickets online, and the online ticketing office shuts at 5pm on midweek matches. After this supporters can only pay on the turnstiles.

Bedford supporters can buy a discounted double ticket for this game and the Macclesfield game on Saturday, with a saving of £12 in total for adult tickets.

Page colour

Black text on a white page is the harshest combination there is. A tint takes the glare off without making the text harder to read.
